Our arts activities help us to learn, share, and grow!

Saddleback Art League is an active volunteer based arts organization. If you think of a great art idea and are willing to help implement it, we will get behind you to make it happen. We gather to learn, exhibit to share, and strive for all to grow artistically.

Our educational art demonstrations cover a wide range of media and are taught by professional artists and teachers . We also have lectures by art historians and product experts.

Exhibiting members are provided opportunities to display their works around Orange County. We recently partnered with Friends of the Laguna Niguel Library to open the Friends Gallery and we maintain a display case in the Mission Viejo Library. We also exhibit frequently at the Norman Murray Center in Mission Viejo.

Outdoor Shows

Members participate in several outdoor art shows in the Saddleback Valley such as Arts Alive, Chalk Festival, and Paint the Lake in Mission Viejo and at the Sports Park in Lake Forest. We welcome the opportunity to show in other areas. Pictured is member, Celia Wu, with 2017 award winner for Paint the Lake.

Juried Show

“Spring Reflections” is our annual Juried Art Show. It is open to all local artists, judged by a professional juror, and displayed in the Mission Viejo Library.

Small art workshops are held periodically in the community during the year. They are taught by professional artists. and vary by member interests. They provide growth and networking opportunities for our members and guests.

More Art

We tour local art venues, both public and private, in small groups. We give scholarships to Saddleback College students during their annual art show. We maintain a lending library of art books and DVD’s.
