All Star Team

Volunteers are needed to Chair or join one of our all star teams. Our teams are the backbone of our organization and helps keep everything moving. Please contact our President to volunteer or contact us via email to learn more.

  • Historian, John Moody

    Members are encouraged to takes photographs of events and send copies to the historian and webmaster. The historian maintains our history book.

  • Juried Show, Jim Prothero

    Volunteers make our annual Juried Show go smoothly. From checking-in to hanging art, there many places to help. Chairs co-ordinate the event, hire the juror, and oversee the judging and help plan the art reception.

  • Mission Viejo Library Display Case, Carolyn Parsons

    Chair coordinates rotating art exhibits for exhibiting artists within our display case in the Mission Viejo Library. Contact the chair if you are interesting in showing your art.

  • Friends Gallery, Jim Prothero

    Chair coordinates rotating art exhibits for exhibiting artists within the “Friends Gallery” in theLaguna Niguel Library. Contact the chair if you are interesting in showing your art.

  • Raffles, Maureen Perkins

    Chair sells raffles at general meetings with the help of volunteers. Donations are generously provided by demonstrators.

  • Webmaster, David Van Vickle

    The Webmaster updates and manages SAL website. Members are encouraged to send photos and news to keep content fresh.

  • Refreshments, Lori Amerio

    Members are welcome to bring snacks to meetings. Chairs make coffee/tea, and coordinate the donations of snacks.

Members are encouraged to actively participate in a committee in order to exhibit in shows.

Committee Descriptions

Here are some of our volunteer opportunities. Join one of these committees or become a chair. This can be a once a year commitment or longer. Choose what works for your schedule. All help is appreciated.

Historian – Takes photographs of events, maintains history book.
Refreshments – Coordinates coffee, tea, and the donations of snacks for monthly meeting.
Exhibition Shows– Coordinates art exhibits at local venues. Helps hang art at shows. 
Display Case – Maintains a rotating gallery in the Mission Viejo Library. 
Friends Gallery – Maintains a rotating gallery in the Laguna Niguel Library Bookstore. 
Outdoor Shows – Coordinates art shows in the community.
Library – Brings our book collection to monthly meetings for loan to members.
Website – Updates and manages SAL website.
Juried Show – Coordinates annual judged show.
Workshops – Arranges for hands-on art workshops.
Raffles – Sells raffles at general meetings.
Programs & Tours – Arranges for interesting public or private art tours.
Lectures – Arranges for interesting art speakers in the community.
